I'm wondering if anyone can tell me the easiest and safest, most effective way of removing the "mudswitch" circuit from my Gretsch 6118 Double Anniversary. I never liked the circuit, and the switch is now broken.

It came with the original fake aligator covered case. The case is in great condition other than it is coming apart at the seams. Do you know anybody that can restore my case?
