I'm currently building a kit guitar, how much material can be removed from the back of the neck? Also is there a source for necks for people with my
handicap, without going to a 3/4 scale? I would also like comments from guitarist with the same handicap, and how they overcame. THANKS

Hi-- I'm new here. I'm trying to re-wire a 3 pup hollowbody. I am replacing the pickups with 2 DeArmonds in N & B positions and a Filtertron in M position. In addition I want to have independent volume controls, including a push-pull to tap the Filtertron (it has the wiring to do so). I also want a single tone control (instead of 1-per-pup), and I want to use a 5-way/4-pole rotary switch (PRS-style) to switch between pups in the same way a Strat does (B-BM-M-MN-N).

I have yet to...

Do you folks use strap locks on your hollow bodies? I'm finding that those big knurled strap buttons on my Gretsch Country Classic are really hard to get a strap on and off of and I think I'd feel more secure with strap locks, especially with the weight of that guitar. When I tried to unscrew the strap buttons, the one on the Bigsby came out with no problems, but on the one on the upper cutaway, the button's head unscrewed from the shaft. All that's exposed is the threads of the shaft and I...

I just got a Gretsch Country Classic and I want to make sure I protect my investment. I'm looking for a guitar stand that won't mar the finish. I've heard some horror stories about some of these stands really messing up the guitar. If anyone has a recommendation of what to look for and what to avoid it would be much appreciated.

I just scored a 1950's Silvertone big hollowbody. I love the guitar. Just got it all set up and it plays and sounds great. This is my first hollowbody and I am excited.

It came with the original fake aligator covered case. The case is in great condition other than it is coming apart at the seams. Do you know anybody that can restore my case? I would really like to use the vintage case rather than going out and buying a new one.

It is on a flexible/adjustable shaft. It can easily be modded to fit on the end of a screw driver for added control.
